Reconciliation (2.4m diameter) is about bringing people together. Something Aboriginal artist Angela Marr-Grogan is passionate about. This stylish but meaningful Aboriginal mat comes in our ‘medium’ size. The circle design encourages friends or family to gather for a yarn or children to sit during mat time. Whether it be as a beach play mat or at an early child care centre and in schools.

Marr-Grogan uses art to motivate stronger ties between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures. As well as the wider Australian community. In Reconciliation, concentric circles symbolise community and organisations. Whilst layered dot work represents people coming together to improve and build closer relationships.

Angela draws inspiration from her identity as a Birpai/Biripi woman. With connections to the Dunghutti and Worimi people on the NSW mid north coast. The circle design was developed with these affiliations in mind.

Reconciliation – a beach play mat that is also suited to schools or a early child care.

Bring another culture with a fashionable design to an early child care centre or to any school classroom. The Reconciliation design is popular in kindies and schools, helping children learn to sit in a circle to listen and share. Celebrate cultural diversity while you enjoy this beach or play mat. Or pair it with a handy beach shelter for a relaxing day at the beach!

The Reconciliation mat is created using 95% recycled plastics. Making it easy to clean, hard wearing and also fade resistant. Reconciliation Aboriginal mats in black, brown and white are large enough to enjoy with friends, family or children. But light enough to take anywhere.
